Etsy Finds: Ice Cream

Sorry that you guys haven't heard from me in a while. I've been SO SO SO busy with art camp! After coming home everyday from spending 7 hours at the studio (6 of those which are spent drawing), I am completely wiped and don't feel like doing anything so I usually fix dinner and crash in front of the TV until it's time for me to go to sleep. Some days, I don't even feel like getting online so I've hardly had time to update and make new things. The only time that I do have to update is during weekends, so I bring you a new Etsy Finds on this fine Saturday afternoon! I hope you all enjoy this one as it will satisfy your sweet for the classic summer treat: ice cream!

Etsy Sellers Under 30

Recently, a new team has been formed: Etsy Sellers Under 30. Basically, anyone under the age of 30 is eligible to join and I encourage those to do so! The team hasn't been "officially" created but as I blog right now, Etsy is looking over the application sent in by mfmapparel, who is one of the team leaders along with NaturalAmber (By the way, check out their awesome Etsy shops!). Thanks to them, this team is on a roll! We've already got our own blog and Twitter, so the team, so far, is going great.

If you would like to join the team, feel free to contact either mfmapparel or NaturalAmber and I'm sure that they would love to add you to the team! =]

Etsy Finds: Flowers

I have decided to put together a collection of my own "Etsy finds". Here's the first one of many to come and what's the subject of today's Etsy Finds? Flowers. Flowers are a reminder of the beginning and end of nature's beauty. When the fall and winter arrive, flowers wilt and die only to appear again in their beautiful splendor in the spring and summer. I hope you guys enjoy my first Etsy Find. =]

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July everyone! I hope everyone gets to take some time off from their daily lives and just enjoy today with their families. Maybe you'll have a barbecue or watch the fireworks at night, which I will be doing. Whatever it is that you choose to do on this special day, take time to think about the freedom that the United States offers and how blessed we are to live in such a wonderful country.

When Stars Burn Out...

It is always sad when a star dies and yesterday two did: Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. These two amazing people will always be remembered. Michael for his singing and dancing that revolutionized the music/entertainment industry. Farrah for her beauty, acting, and strength. They have both made a tremendous impact on the world and it is sad to see them go. RIP Michael Jackson & Farrah Fawcett.

Last Day of School

Wow...I can't believe that today was the last day of school. It still doesn't feel real, partially because finals start tomorrow and so I have to wake up for school and partially because it also doesn't feel like summer. I remember this time last year, it was hot and sunny, but this year it's been cold and rainy. It's actually kind of depressing.

On another note, I can't believe I'm almost a senior! After the current seniors graduate next Friday, I'm going to be a senior! I'm really excited but nervous and a little bit scared. I kind of think I put too much on my plate for senior year by taking pretty much all AP classes. =\ I have a HUGE load of summer homework because of it. -sigh- I'm also really nervous about applying for colleges. The worst scenario would be getting stuck going to a college in New Jersey or ending up in the community college. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but it's just not for me because I just want to get out of the state. I'm excited though for the end of senior year because of prom, our senior trip, cruise, and breakfast. Senior year is going to be a blast but applying colleges scares me to death. >_<

So...today was actually a pretty eventful last day of school. We had another food fight and people got arrested. Since this was our second food fight of the year, our principal had police, undercover agents, and people with video cameras in the cafeteria. Unfortunately it didn't have the lunch that the food fight occurred in but I definitely heard about it. Our principal was so mad! So we ended up having a half-day which was great, but no one else got lunch except for the people in the first lunch with the food fight. Definitely have to start thinking about senior pranks for next year that WON'T end in people getting arrested. xD

Revived!

I am officially reviving my blog! I kind of abandoned it after New Years because I've been busy with school work, but now as summer is upon us I have time to blog, yay! I hope to update at least 2-3 times a week, but don't hold it against me if I don't. I'm still not out of school yet, but the good thing is there's only 4 more official days of school and then afterwards it's just 5 days of finals....fun. >_>

Anyways, look for more updates in the future. By the way, I also added more items in my Etsy shop, so take a look! And also, don't forget to follow my Twitter if you would like to receive updates from me on a daily basis.

Reflecting on 2008, Looking Forward to 2009

Happy New Years everyone! I hope everyone has a wonderful 2009 and may it bring you joy and good fortune.

2008 was all right. It definitely got better towards the end. Here are some of my highlights in 2008:
-Did well on the PSAT's
-Started up my online shop
-Spent a lot of my summer hanging out with my friends or at my friend's pool
-Took summer classes at FIT
-Didn't fail AP Calculus...so far
-Actually got a social life xD
-Turned 16
-Learned to play the guitar
-Went on vacation in California which was amazing

But now that 2008 has passed, I'm looking forward to some important things in 2009!
-Official opening of my online shop in Spring 2009
-Taking the SAT's and possibly the SAT 2's
-Looking for colleges
-Probably putting together a portfolio
-Surviving junior year and moving on to be a senior!
-Turning 17 and getting my license
-Probably doing some wholesales to some online shops
-Creating more polymer clay jewelry and accessories and building up stock

So how was your 2008? Do you have any New Years resolutions or anything that you want to do in 2009? I would love to hear your thoughts on the new year!
